The world needs energy and as the developing world continues to catch up to the developed world the need for clean water, food, electricity, and transportation grows rapidly.
The developing world will get its power from any source they can. There isn't a choice. Therefore the developed world should supply sources that support the developing world in getting the energy they need in a way that prevent climate change as much as possible.
In the coming years the power consumption will rise sharply. The transition from petrol fueled cars to electric cars is in full swing.
Public transportation is moving away from diesel and petrol. Tramlines and metros are introduced to replace busses. Train line electrification is increasing around the world.
All this will lead to power shortage unless power generation is increased dramatically.
The development of green energy, wind power, hydro power, bio gas, and solar power is moving ahead at a great pace, but it will not be able to keep up with the very large short term increasing need for more power.
The atmosphere contains methane. It occurs naturally, the sources are vulcanoes and glaciers, emissions from methane trapped in seabeds, animals including cattle, and general human activity including landfills.
Methane is a green house gas so extracting it from the atmosphere will help combat climate change.
One way of producing methane is bio gas produced from human and animal waste. The main content of bio gas is methane. This is a renewable source.
